The annual White House Correspondents' Dinner was held on Sunday, and it was a star-studded affair indeed. While most celebrities have spent the better part of the past year roundly criticizing the beautiful disaster that is the Bush administration, some decided that the opportunity for exposure was simply too good to pass up.

'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' memorable

Don't even read this review. I can sum up the whole movie in one sentence - freaking hilarious. Stop reading. Go see “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

For all you traditionalists out there still reading this review despite my protests, I'll continue.

“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” is the latest comedic hit from Judd Apatow, the mastermind behind “The 40 Year Old Virgin” and “Knocked Up.

If you're looking for a quick trip to the Far East during your lunch break, but want something more authentic than Panda Express, Asian Sandwich Deli, 1710 E. Speedway Blvd., might be the perfect lunchtime stop.

As the name implies, this hole-in-the-wall (the restaurant is roughly the size of a two bedroom apartment and there are only four tables for those wishing to “dine in”) find specializes in unique, Asian-inspired sandwiches at insanely low prices.

Rupert Murdoch finalized his deal Tuesday, buying Newsday and choosing the top editor for the Wall Street Journal. He bought Newsday for $580 million, according to the International Herald Tribune, and puts him “in control of three of the nation's 10 largest newspapers.

'Coyote' required ingenuity, tight budget

While most movies are shot in exotic locals with white beaches and bikini-clad women, a few local filmmakers have chosen to go back to their roots in the hopes of making an entertaining political statement. Producer Devin Colvin and co-writer and actor Brett Spackman's two-year film project “Coyote” is set in locations such as Tucson and Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, and focuses on the complex ideas of friendship and immigration.

Chalk one up for the local art experience

Instead of partaking in a lazy Saturday, some Tucsonans have their calendars marked to attend the third annual Tucson Madonnari Chalk Festival at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library Plaza from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The festival, in partnership with It's Happening Downtown, will feature new and established Madonnari artists producing their work on the downtown pavement of the plaza.

Computers, choirs team up for concert

Douglas Thompson, a doctoral student in choral conducting, is bringing an entirely unique concert to campus. Incorporating his doctoral thesis, he will conduct a choir as they use their natural voices to sing with electronic music.
