Women's golf team to tee off in match play

The No. 20 UA women's golf team will hit the links for the last time this fall in the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championships, held Sunday through Tuesday in

Reunion, Fla.

The event is a bit of a treat for the Wildcats, as they will compete in both a medal play and match play format.

With the presidential election less than five days away, UA students lined up outside and around the Student Union Memorial Center on Thursday to get their votes heard for the 2008 elections.

ASUA President Tommy Bruce said that the UAVotes 2008 campaign was focused on making the voting process as easy as possible for students.

HIV awareness, women's health, condom use, diabetes screening, asthma screening, blood pressure tests and hypertension tests are just a few of the booths that were set up at Pharmacy Day on the UA Mall on Wednesday.

During the event, which was established in honor of National Pharmacist Month, students were able to get information about the College of Pharmacy and find out about their own health at the same time.

Students, community view 'lost films' at fest

Scott Beibin, video jockey and co-founder of Evil Twin Booking Agency, brought his multimedia road show, the Lost Film Fest, to an audience of about 50 members of the Tucson community on Thursday night at the UA Modern Languages building.

Beibin showed several short independent films that touched on topics ranging from the upcoming presidential election, racism and the riots following the recent Democratic and Republican national conventions.
